My name is Franco and this space aims to introduce you to my paintings.
I am a heir to a family of artists, which includes – among many painters and sculptors – Angelo Pizzi, who Napoleon nominated Director of the Accademia di Belle Arti (Fine Art Academy) in Venice early in 1800s.
In his role, Angelo sculptured the whole Napoleonic area in Piazza San Marco (St. Marks Square).
Being one with art has stayed in my family blood ever since.
I have dedicated my artistic life to depicting the human figure in all its multiple forms, with a thorough commitment to representing my two favourite models, Chiara, my beloved wife, and her friend Olga, from St. Petersburg.
I treasure my models as co-authors to my work as it is only through their beauty that I can paint.
I’m mostly a self-taught artist who relied on the Scuola d’Arte e Mestieri (Art and Craft School) in Vicenza and the world-renowned Accademia di Belle Arti (Fine Art Academy) of Venice (Italy) to sharpen my skills.
In this site I share some of my artistic production who stretches over more than 40 years.
I invite you to contact me at [franco@francofusari.it] to start a conversation on art and beauty.
